The Viar beach club is a little resort in the area Park of dune costiere in Ostuni. The club has a private long sandy beach, football and volleyball pitches, swimming pool, café, restaurant, boutiques and three suites. The refurbishment project of the suites aimed to reflect the eclectic taste of the owner, that bought many art crafts while travelling all over the world. The refurbishment was made using and reinventing these pieces. In two of the suites the wall over the bed head was painted in a blue nuance to keep continuity with the strong blue of the floor. The furniture style is colonial, rattan headboard and voile draped canopy realized using linen curtains and Indonesian curved sticks, indian bedspread, old temples door used as pictures, simple sea washed pieces of wood to hang lantern or to support African decorative groups of statues. The bed side lights are made by converting garden’s lanterns. Every piece has been reinvented to create an ethnic atmosphere, the memory of a life spent travelling the world.
